Activity 2 - Create a post for an online collaborative discussion

This activity is a part of the Indigenous astronomy, communication, and digital technology resource.

This activity expands on the class discussion about the videos. Students apply what they learned and contribute their discussion notes to an online collaborative space (such as Padlet, Miro, Microsoft Whiteboard, etc.).

Step by step guide

Before getting students engaging with technology, work collaboratively to develop some guidelines for ethical posting within the collaborative space and post that to the board.

Step 1: Have students get together in groups and compare notes.

Step 2: Write a small post about their answers and what they learned with their class

If time allows, the class can watch the videos describing the aims of Wunungu Awara and the behind-the-scenes process discussing how the new technologies are used 0 .

Activity 1 - Film and discussion

Have students watching up to three of the digital animations related to astronomy, keeping notes about particular aspects of the films, and participating in an in-class discussion.
